Tall for her age and quietly confident, 13-year-old Samira* loves coming to Save the Children's center. “When I’m here at the center I feel like I’m in Sudan. I have lots of friends here at the center. I’ve also made Egyptian friends here as well," she says.
As a single mother living in Cairo, Fartuun* faces many challenges and worries she won’t be able to provide for her children. However, with the help of Save the Children, Fartuun and her children now have a safe space to learn and make new friends.
Aya’s* booming voice and big smile fill the room. The tips of her fingers are painted with henna and her brightly colored scarf frames her face. After everything Aya’s been through, it’s hard to believe she can smile at all.
