Amal was depressed after two miscarriages and then the death of her first daughter, who died just one month after being born. Amal’s next baby, a boy survived with the support of Save the Children’s health project.

Adnan* lives with his wife and three children in Greater Cairo. He has two daughters, aged ten and eight, and a two-year old son. His family is Palestinian Syrian, and they face many difficulties as doubly-displaced refugees.

The voucher assistance is Save the Children’s biggest emergency intervention in Egypt so far. We aim to reach over 20,000 people by targeting households most in need of winter assistance.
