Fun For All at Save the Children's Community Day

Activities at the event included a mime pantomime, which had viewers hooked at the end of the afternoon.Save the Children in Egypt held a community fun day on May 2nd in 10th of Ramadan, Greater Cairo to promote our work within the Syrian and Egyptian communities and celebrate the opening of our first Child Friendly Space in the area. Over 1,000 children and family members took part in the fun and games, which were hosted from 4-9pm at a local social club. Activities included a mime pantomime, a puppet show, and team games.  10th of Ramadan is an area in which  high numbers of Syrian refugees have settled, and many of the children at this event also attend our newest Child Friendly Space, which is open six days a week offering art, multimedia workshops, games and psychosocial support sessions. Minah Awad Raafat, Save the Children's Child Friendly Space Coordinator in 10th of Ramadan, gets the crowd going at the local community fun day
