Case Management Cluster Coordinator


I. Promote effective child protection case management coordination at national and sub-national level

a. Provide strategic direction and guidance to partners providing case management in the Ukraine response, upholding global standards; 

b. Facilitate regular CMTF meetings, including drafting agendas, minute taking and ensuring action items are documented and addressed; 

c. Maintain effective coordination with sub-national focal points strengthening the role of national and local actors to have effective leadership and meaningful participation at both the national and sub-national levels; 

d. Ensure coordination and linkages with relevant coordination bodies including the CP AoR, Protection Cluster and GBV AoR; e. Represent the Ukraine CMTF in regional and global forums as needed. 

II. Provide technical support and capacity building to case management field practitioners to conduct quality case management 

a. Provide technical assistance to interagency requests for support on case management programming; 

b. Develop a measurement framework for case workers and supervisors’ competencies; 

c. Together with CMTF partners identify gaps in child protection case management capacities; 

d. Lead on the coordination, development and roll out of a case management training package;

e. Contextualize and roll-out Case Management coaching tools and guidance materials;

III. Support implementation and adherence of inter-agency CM guidelines and tools for case management in the humanitarian response in Ukraine IV. Information Management, Monitoring & Communications 

a. Support the development and roll out of inter-agency standard information management processes, including the DPIA and DPISP; 

b. Lead on the roll-out of CPIMS+ and provide guidance to child protection case management organizations; 

c. Collect lessons learned, experience and approaches.


· Advanced degree in Social Sciences/Social Work or a field(s) relevant to international development


· At least 5 years of professional work experience at national and international levels in fields relevant to

child protection, proven technical expertise in case management and capacity development of social

workers required;

· Working knowledge of the Inter-Agency Child Protection Information Management System;

· Demonstrable understanding of international development and humanitarian response architecture,

and co-ordination mechanisms;

· Ability to formulate strategic documents for programming, advocacy, and coordination involving

international organizations and Government;

· Experience in a comparable regional country, working in the field of case management;

· High-level communication skills, including ability to speak formally, negotiate, demonstrate tact and

diplomacy, and advocate for child protection issues with community and authorities;

· Highly developed leadership and coordination skills;

· Demonstrated experience in building capacity of teams and staff. This includes facilitating training

programs and providing supportive supervisions;

· Experience of working with competency based approach to training and capacity building

· Fluency in English, Ukrainian and Russian a plus;

· Ability to work under pressure and in response to changing needs;

· Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles.


· Experience of and commitment to working through systems of community participation and


· Demonstrated monitoring and evaluation skills.

· Excellent communication skills, fluent in English & Ukrainian and high level of English & Ukrainian

writing skills, and ability to write clear and well-argued assessment and project reports.

· Ability to work both in an Advisory and a hands-on implementation capacity.

· Proven capacity to supervise, train and coach staff.

· Strong influencing skills and experience in advocacy.

· Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy.

· Commitment to the aims and principles of SC. A good understanding of the SC mandate and child

focus and an ability to ensure this continues to underpin our support.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software and a high level of computer literacy (word, excel,

ppt etc)


· Experience or knowledge of working and living in relevant regions/contexts.

· Experience in Education programs.

· Specific experience of working in humanitarian and developmental projects.
